My formal art education began in high school with Early College Courses at the Art Institute of Chicago. I continued on to earn my Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Creighton University, spending one semester abroad with Studio Arts Center International in Florence, Italy. My undergraduate work consisted of mainly large scale oil paintings and metal sculpture.

Upon finishing school, my work evolved from large to small and from paint to pencil and oil pastels.  I begin with an old frame, a blank sheet of paper and an handful of sharpened pencils.  I trace the size of the frame on the paper and start scribbling.  I scribble and erase and scribble and erase until I start to see an image in the lines.  I pull the image out of the scribble using colored pencil and oil pastels.  I have been working this way for over 20 years and I am so excited that after 100's of pieces, I can still find images in the lines.

I also have a love for piecing things together.  Over the years, I have created various found object sculptures, wood collages, mosaic tile and wooden wall installations.

I have displayed in a wide variety of venues throughout the country.  In the summer of 2016, my family relocated to Michigan.  I currently reside in Rockford, Michigan with my husband and our four boys.
